I cannot begin to say enough about this canoe. Powering mine with a 4HP 2 stroke Johnson, plenty of power. Did a week long trip with this setup with 4 portages, 2 of those being extremely long and difficult. The canoe is light and was the easiest of our equipment to portage. We crossed 2 very large and extremely rough bodies of water. The first lake tried to sink us 40 meters into the trip! We had water in the canoe up to the top of the gunnels and rolles breaking over the transom. Thought we were done but nope, this canoe is unsinkable and we managed to power our way through a situation we shouldn't have been able to get through. To put it mildly, my buddy and I were amazed. Was 7 kms of GoPro moments. The 2nd lake required 18 kms of travel in the same water conditions. We had this canoe breaking over waves where half the canoe was out of the water! You know that involuntary reflexive breath you take when you think its over, well that was a constant and consistent experience. I cant say enough about this canoe, it is built for the Canadian back country. After this trip my fishing partner went out and bought this same canoe.
