Overview

The 20′ MacKenzie paddles like a wilderness tripping canoe, yet handles loads like a freighter canoe. Paddlers will delight at the 20′ MacKenzie’s fast speed and responsive handling. This canoe tracks well while the 3″ of rocker allows for quick, responsive turns.

The 20′ MacKenzie will carry 1500 lbs with 8″ of freeboard. Molded plastic bucket seats, adjustable stern footbrace and sliding bow seat make it a very comfortable canoe. Optional 3rd and 4th bench seats can increase capacity as high as six paddlers. It is suited for 3 to 4 adults and camping gear, or 2 adults, a pack of kids and gear. The 20′ MacKenzie’s shallow arch hull provides excellent stability.

I own one. It is about the toughest, strongest canoe you can possibly imagine. The long waterline length it paddles easy, fast. The rocker makes it easy to turn. Loads of space for gear for a long expedition and I personally do not think there is a better white water canoe in existance. I routinely single hand it, easy. Volume, gear for a six or eight week trip, and not a scrap is as high as the gunwales low to keep it out of the wind and low to keep CG low. My absolute highest recommendations for this boat.
