Overview
The Escape is great for fishing, photography or bird watching. The comfortable seats allow paddlers to sit instead of kneel. It has a near vertical bow and stern to aid in tracking. The Escape’s short length allows it to maneuver easily in tight spots. Its light weight and short length make the Escape easy to load and transport on the smallest of vehicles and is easy to load and transport on the top of 5th wheel trailers.
This canoe can be easily paddled solo. Solo paddlers will often order the Escape with a bench seat in the bow, allowing them to paddle from the bow facing the stern, while being seated in a position closer to the center of the canoe. This results in a better trimmed canoe.
The Escape, designed with a shallow arch hull, is stiffened with cross ribs in the fiberglass layup and a vacuum-bagged foam core in the Kevlar® layup. Both provide stiff hulls that help maximize performance and maneuverability. Take an “Escape” from the everyday bustle of life and you’ll never regret it.

Escape 14"6" - Angler Package - with Oar.
Well, I finally got my Escape 14"6" Rowing Canoe. What a thing! When paddling in the front seat, facing backwards, the boat tracks like a dream, and with some leaning, jaystrocking is so accurate. Shift around into the centre rowing seat, and this boat flies through the water. Marlin and I have different ideas when it comes to re-inventing the oar lock (or not). Either way, the boat flies through the water, giving you an excellent work out, and getting you back 2 or 3 times quicker. Can’t say enough about this boat. Finally, a beautiful, light weight, stable, tracking canoe, that you can literally turn around in, sit down and row!!

Escape Ultralight Canoe
We purchased this canoe a few years back - and we have had NO regrets. Both of us really love the fact it is so light for portaging, and there is a lot of room for Job to move around in. We enjoy canoeing in small lakes: fishing, exploring, and taking pictures of it all! The maneuverability of this craft is amazing. Both my wife and I are novice canoeists, and she can guide us with pin-point precision when necessary. We love this canoe, and we purchased some Grey Owl Voyageur paddles to go with it :) Recently, I purchased a bench seat for when either of us are out as soloists with Job.
