A 28-pound boat the size of a large suitase, the Bay ST is less than half the weight of a traditional kayak. It’s compact enough to store in your trunk, closet, boat, or garage. You can even check it on a plane or hike into remote waters with the Oru Pack.

On the water, the 12 foot Bay ST is fast, sporty, and versatile. It can handle many different conditions and landscapes, from smooth lakes to ocean kayaking. It's a closed cockpit, performance kayak that’s been tested on Class III rivers and played in 6 foot waves. Best for intermediate and advanced paddlers (but beginners with a few paddles under their belt will also love this model).

    ORU BAY ST kayak

Posted by Ron Eccles on 2022 Sep 24th

Having recently gotten back into kayaking, I initially started off with an inflatable, then found out about this folding kayak. I live in an apartment, so storage is at a premium: where am I going to out a 9-12 ft kayak? This is the perfect solution to that problem; it fits nicely in the back of my trunk (2021 Mazda 3) and I can have it out, unfolded and on the water in 15-20 min. I've had it everywhere, from small creeks, to some of the local lakes and even out on open water in the ocean. It's quite stable, light and handles very well and like many online reviews I've seen on it; it is a conversation starter. Well worth the price for the versatility and portability if you're someone like me who has limited storage options.
