    I'm a fairly novice kayer with a sea kayak, and wanted to make the kayak fit me better for edging, and hopefully one day, rolls! The kit is well made, works and has fairly easy to install options. The shims are great to have and I ended up using one of the mid size ones on each side. I only used the straps and buckle to attach to the post on each of the kayak seat mount. The tightened straps are rock solid and the pads have no play. Included are velcro strips mounted on plastic and pop rivets to attach the velcro strips. I did not use these. But the mounting options are there. Good product.
