Spirit External Battery Cable allows you to connect the Spirit 1.0 Plus motor with a 48V E-Series Battery to extend the range.  

If a Spirit motor works with an E-Series battery, the original Spirit battery is removed. This cowling is put on the top for decoration purposes.
