Sting Ray Hybrid 4-Piece with Posi-Lok Ferrule Description
Sting Ray Hybrid 4-Piece Posi-Lok™ Kayak Paddle Description
The Sting Ray Hybrid 4 Piece paddle is the lightest injection molded kayak paddle available at its price point. With its mid-sized blades built of exclusive Aqua-Bound abXII resin reinforced with fiberglass and its all-carbon shaft, this paddle reduces fatigue and joint strain for flat-water paddlers. This paddle also offers the Posi-Lok® ferrule system which clicks into position firmly and securely. The Posi-Lok® features strong, corrosion-free composite construction, convenient dual-button release, and infinite feathering angles.
** If purchasing for use with an inflatable kayak, size up to either 240 or 250 **
UPDATED FOR 2023!
THE STING RAY HYBRID IS THE LIGHTEST INJECTION MOULDED KAYAK PADDLE, WITH A HIGH-PERFORMANCE CARBON SHAFT AND NON-STOP NYLON BLADES THAT WEIGHS 4 OUNCES LESS THAN COMPARABLE MODELS.
- At approximately 30 ounces, the Sting Ray Hybrid is the lightest flatwater injection moulded kayak paddle on the market in this price range.
- A new design for a stronger blade. The new blade design provides a smoother forward stroke with less flutter, a firmer feel, and a quieter entrance and exit. The new fibreglass + nylon blade composition is thicker, stronger (less flex), and more durable over time.
- Fiberglass-reinforced nylon blades provide the optimum amount of flex and forgiveness, keeping the kayak moving rapidly even while carrying more gear than normal.
- Low-angle paddlers choose the traditional "mid-sized" or slender blade form because their forward stroke is more relaxed or horizontal.
- The perfectly constructed blade shape cuts into and out of the water while reducing fatigue caused by wind resistance.
- The sharp dihedral provides a silky-smooth forward stroke with little tolerance for flapping, preserving energy for longer paddling expeditions.
- Because the 100% carbon shaft is the lightest material available, paddling on longer expeditions is more fun and less exhausting. The carbon weave is one of the toughest choices available, and it is tight and secure.
- The shaft is ovalized where the hands go for increased comfort and control, as well as to lessen the danger of blisters.
- The Posi-LokTM ferrule is presently the industry standard in paddlesports due to its snug fit, convenience of use, and longevity. Paddlers love the option to modify the blade offset in 15-degree increments in response to wind and other paddling conditions. Carbon ferrules are a long-lasting choice that may be used for many years.
- A carbon ferrule insert is small, lightweight, and long-lasting. This is far superior than glass or plastic ferrule inserts.
- There are two colour options: Sunset Red, which is ideal for a nighttime paddle expedition, and white, which is the most popular.
- Built with pride in Osceola, Wisconsin, by a bunch of paddlers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Light
Love how light this paddle is for weaker or older people it is the best way to go. If I had to buy again I'd go with the two piece as I find it hard to break down into four. The posi lock is easy to use and gives a lot of options so we'll see. Unfortunately it is too early in season and I have not tried on the water but can't wait. WCK offers good advice and they sent paddles quickly across country.
